Melina Kanakaredes plays an American actress who is best known for playing the role of detective Stella Bonasera in the CBS police procedural drama series CSI: NY Dr. Sydney Hansen on the NBC drama series Providence as well as The Dr. Lane Hunter on the medical drama series The Resident. Also, she was recognized for her TV debut as Eleni Andros cooper in CBS's soap opera Guiding Light.
